Everybody knows that the annual Goodreads Choice Awards is nothing more than a popularity contest. But that doesn’t stop us from arguing over it every year. It’s human nature, baby! So I thought it would be fun to react to this year’s winners and share which books I think should’ve won instead.
In the spirit of fairness, I’m only including the categories I voted in. If I didn’t vote, it’s because I didn’t read anything in that category and so I have no feelings on those winners. So, based solely on what I read, these are the books I think should’ve won this year and what actually won.
