I don’t really feel like writing a lengthy post today, so I figure it’s a good opportunity to answer this week’s Book Blogger Hop prompt. The BBH is a weekly meme that runs from Friday to Thursday in which bloggers answers a book-related prompt. It’s a great way to provide some insight into yourself and introduce yourself to some great new blogs.
February 1-7th Prompt: Audio books vs. Ebooks? If the world stopped printing books, which would you prefer between the two?
I’m going to have to go with ebooks. I’ve actually never listened to an audio book, mainly because I fear I wouldn’t be able to focus on it. Also, I’m not even sure when I would listen to an audiobook, as my commute to work is only about fifteen minutes.
Besides, I love actually reading. I’m not saying audio books aren’t legitimate. I just genuinely enjoy the activity of reading. I’m a physical book girl at heart, but if the world were to stop printing them I’d switch to ebooks.
Technically speaking, that’s the reason I got a tablet in the first place. I wanted to save money on books and not have to stress about shelf space. I have not yet succeeded at fully making the switch. Maybe I never will. But I’m trying my best.
So, which do you prefer: audio books or ebooks? Let me know in the comments!

I listened to my first audio book last month and I really enjoyed it. However I did notice that I’d lose focus at times and there’s not an easy way to go back while doing something else. Reading a book or an ebook will always be my preference

I’m an ebooker but I’ve recently started listening to audiobooks in the car and I’ve just about got the hang of it! Listening to audiobooks is a skill…

My commute is about the same as yours, which does put a damper on listening to audiobooks I’ve found. I do enjoy audio books from time to time, but I just haven’t been able to make them work for me as well as others are able to. Maybe in the future . . . E-books, on the other hand, have become a regular staple in my reading life.
I hope you have a great weekend!

I also would choose ebooks! I space out too much when listening to audiobooks, and for some reason they are waaaay too overpriced. I love my Kindle and having the option to read whatever I want, too.
