Well, today is going to be rough. My sister took the last of my iced coffee today, so I have no caffeine. And now I have to get through a whole day at work! I don’t know how I ever did it before. I could really use a nap. Instead, I’m going to write this post. This tag takes the days of the week and turns them into questions based on their feel. Honestly, it’s pretty self-explanatory. So… here we go:
- Monday: A book you’re too lazy to read
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. I’ve only heard good things, but it’s so damn big. Ain’t nobody got time for that!
- Tuesday: A book that was hard to finish
The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon. The first third is so infodump-y and dense with world-building and unfamiliar terms, it was difficult to enjoy. Once you get through that the book is pretty good, but I still took several breaks when I read it. I plan on continuing the series, but not any time soon.
- Wednesday: A book you haven’t finished
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. Out of nowhere, I felt the urge to finally read this for the first time. A couple chapters in, I put it down to read something else. Whoops. I will be getting back to it though. I just missed fantasy.
- Thursday: A book you don’t recommend
Because You Love to Hate Me edited by Ameriie. If you love villains, don’t bother with this anthology. It is not about villains. In most cases, it’s about pre-villains. A couple stories were good, but it was mostly just disappointing.
- Friday: A book you can’t wait to be released
Vengeful by V.E. Schwab. Vicious was so good and I’m so excited for more supervillain antics. Every time I hear something new about it, I get so hype. I need it, like, yesterday.
- Saturday: A book you want to reread right away
Harry Potter by JK Rowling. For some reason, I’ve really been in the mood to reread that series. JKR has been pissing me off so much, but I just can’t quit that series. Fantastic Beasts can suck it though.
- Sunday: A book you didn’t want to end
The Fate of the Tearling by Erika Johansen. After spending over two months with Kelsea and her guard, I didn’t want to let them go. I already miss that world so much.
Do you have any answers to any of these questions? If not, what’s your favorite animal? Tell me in the comments!
I had heard so much hype for The Bone Season, I bought and read the first two…. they were the slowest books 😌😌
