Favorite Friday is a brand new meme in which I discuss some of my favorite things. Some Fridays it’ll be based on a topic, while others it’ll just be about some of my recent favorites.
So, I’ve been playing Episode a lot lately. You may recognize it from all the mobile ads. It’s basically an interactive story game. And it’s weirdly addicting. I got into them because I really wanted to play Demi Lovato: Road to Fame and a bunch of YouTubers were making videos where they play episode stories.
However, I vastly prefer to play the user stories over the official episode stories. Why? Well, for one thing, user stories are totally free. No choices require gems (which cost money). Secondly, they tend to be a lot wilder. And I’m in this for entertainment above all.
But what are my favorite user stories? From genuinely good to straight up wild, these are the Episode user stories I’ve been most obsessed with.

The Queen of Limelight by Ana Stacy
In this story, you play as a girl whose goal it is to become the Queen of Limelight High. Meanwhile, she makes an agreement with her crush’s long-time best friend in order to learn how to woo her crush. There are LGBT options, so the love interest and best friend (who also becomes a love interest) can be guys or girls. Naturally, I selected the female option. For the most part, this story is a romance. But it’s really cute and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Bisexual Bachelor(ette) by A.J. MacArthur
This story is a take on The Bachelor/Bachelorette, in that you can play as a man or woman and the potential love interests are men and women. There’s also a mystery going on, as someone is trying to sabotage the show. I really enjoyed this story and am really happy with who my character chose in the end.

Galactic Game by Lucky
Another reality TV-based story, this one is a spoof on Big Brother. Aliens from all over the galaxy live in a house together and are voted out, or “evicted,” one by one. You play as the contestant from Earth. There’s romance, alliances, strategizing— oh, and did I mention the sinister plot the show-runner is cooking up? This game is particularly addictive and I’m super eager for the next chapter comes out.

Gender Switching by Maxine C.
This is a story that sounds ridiculous and is. But it’s also charming and fun. You play as the new girl in school who is cursed by her Anti-Fairy Godmother. Every time she sneezes, she switches genders. It’s your typical story about fitting in with a hilarious twist. Another bonus is that one potential love interest is a girl! The writer is currently working on season two, and I’m desperate for her to release it.

Pregnant by a Killer by Amy T.
Where most of these stories are actually good, this one falls under the “so bad it’s good” category. You play as a good girl with strict parents who decides to rebel. She hooks up with a man who happens to be the leader of a notorious gang. You see him kill a rival and are now held captive. And then you find out you’re pregnant with his baby. It’s absolutely bonkers. I’ve managed to make my character so unlikable, it’s hilarious. The writer says there’s three possible endings— happy, average, and bad— and I’m going for the bad one. It’s been a while since she’s updated and I’m waiting with bated breath.
