The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme that runs from Friday to Thursday in which bloggers answers a book-related prompt. Itโs a great way to provide some insight into yourself and introduce yourself to some great new blogs.

Surprise! Itโs a two-for-one special!

Iโve wanted to read Brave New World by Aldous Huxley for several years now. I was intrigued back when the YA dystopian craze was still thriving. Though this novel isnโt YA, it is a dystopian. My sister had to read it in school, but it hadnโt been a part of the curriculum when I was in high school. Someday Iโll finally take the plunge and read this novel. But not today.

Iโve also wanted to read 1984 by George Orwell for a while. Iโm super into speculative fiction from the past that is eerily similar to our world now. Plus, I have some tangential knowledge of this book, like the whole โBig Brotherโ thing. I was hesitant to read this for a long while because we read Animal Farm in tenth grade and I hated it. But hopefully this will be better. You know, when I actually get around to reading it.

Aurora from Aurora Librialis got introspective with her post about books we buy for the readers we wish we were.
Angelica from The Book Cover Girl examined the Bechdel Test and whether YA passes.
Sam from Fictionally Sam penned a hilarious open letter to authors about sex scenes.
Charlotte from Reads Rainbow recommended LGBT books about magic users.
Xandra from Starry Sky Books started a discussion about what makes a good plot twist.
What are some classics youโve been wanting to read? Let me know in the comments!
