Favorite Friday is a brand new meme in which I discuss some of my favorite things. Some Fridays it’ll be based on a topic, while others it’ll just be about some of my recent favorites.
With all the hype around the final season of Game of Thrones and Avengers: Endgame, I’ve finally realized how people who have never seen Star Wars feel whenever there’s a new release.
Anyway, the sequel trilogy is coming to an end this December. The teaser trailer is amazing. The Rise of Skywalker is going to blow my mind.
I’ve been in such a Star Wars mood lately (and tomorrow is Star Wars Day— May the Fourth Be with You!), so I decided to make this week’s favorites list about my favorite Star Wars characters. From villains to heroes, these are the characters I’d follow to the ends of that galaxy far, far away.

Darth Vader
No, not Anakin Skywalker— Vader. Are they technically the same character? Yes. But Vader is just such a badass. Honestly, that’s really it. That’s my whole reasoning for loving Vader. He’s a total badass with no mercy.

Rey
I love Rey because she’s this scrappy little nobody that gets swept away into this big space adventure. All she really wants is a family and, with the resistance, she’s found one. She’s so good-hearted and pure. I just love her so much. Also, she’s a lesbian.

Leia Organa
Both snarky and serious, Leia is the whole package. She’s a bad bitch and a fearless leader. She’s brilliant with strategy and getting her way. She also has the audacity to tell Vader she doesn’t know anything about the Death Star codes after he follows her ship from the planet where it was stolen. I don’t know a brassier bitch.

Han Solo
Han is so crafty and shady, but also irresistibly charming. He has amazing character development, going from a self-serving smuggler to an altruistic hero. Plus, he did the Kessel run in less than twelve parsecs. He may be a scruffy-looking nerf herder, but he’s my scruffy-looking nerf herder.

Poe Dameron
A talented pilot and a (non-canon) homosexual? Poe really is an icon. He wants so badly to be a hero and make Leia proud. He takes in Finn, no questions asked. Poe is just really cool and I like him a lot.
