I’m a big fan of binging series. If the whole thing is released, I love reading it all in one go. But sometimes, for whatever reason, that doesn’t happen. And then I have this unfinished series just hanging out there, waiting to be read in full. It feels… wrong somehow.

So today I thought I’d discuss a few series I started, but never finished and plan to. These are series that are released in full, as unfinished series are a given here.  Why haven’t I finished them? Ummmmmm…..

Look, I don’t know why I haven’t finished these series. I just haven’t. Yet. But I will… someday. Probably.

I checked the first book of this series out at the library about a year ago. I really enjoyed it and planned on continuing. I was really interested in seeing how Lia’s abilities would progress and who she would wind up with. The issue is my library doesn’t have the sequels and I’d have to request them from another library. That just sounds like a lot to go through for a four-star book. But I will continue it eventually. I still have remnants of interest in it.

I really enjoyed this first book when I read it a couple years ago and meant to continue when the sequel came out. Now the whole trilogy has been released and gotten a cover change and I still haven’t touched it. It’s a steampunk fantasy with a M/M romance, so I definitely want to read the rest. And I will… when I have time.

I was pleasantly surprised by this series when I read it in 2017. I loved the characters and was eager to find out what happens after that brutal cliffhanger. And then I never read the second book. Guys, this is a duology and I haven’t finished it. To be fair, the sequel didn’t get as much positive buzz, which quelled my enthusiasm. But I do still have the desire to read it. It’s a flame I’ll fan again someday.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Golden Compass when I read it earlier this year, even more than I would have if I’d read it as a kid. And, despite actually having the following two books, I still haven’t read them. I blame the fact that they’re on my Kindle, so I forget they’re there. But I will be finishing this series. I really like the material.

I picked up the first book of this series on a whim, and wound up really enjoying it. I bought the second one immediately and eagerly awaited the release of the third. Well, now I own all three books and have yet to crack open the second one. That said, I fully intend on finishing this adult fantasy series. If I don’t, just fire me.

What are some series you need to finish? Which series do you recommend I finish first? Let’s discuss in the comments!
