Book Meme: WWW Wednesday #1

Blog Updates

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam of Taking on a World of Words. It’s basically a fun way to update your readers on your current reading. The questions are based on the Three Ws:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

I think I’ll make this a monthly meme, since I don’t think there will be enough change week to week to make it worth doing that frequently. Also, I know this is a Wednesday meme and today is Thursday. However, because of how my work week is set up, Thursday is my Wednesday. Plus I forgot it wasn’t Wednesday when I started writing this. Next time it’ll be on an actual Wednesday.

Now let’s take a look at my current world of books.

Currently Reading
Bonds of Brass by Emily Skrutskie (ARC)

If you’ve spent any time on Star Wars Twitter recently, you may have heard of the Finnpoe book. This is that book. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for a review, so that’s coming soon. It’s an adult science fiction series with a M/M romance. I’m enjoying it well enough so far, but it’s not a new favorite yet.

Recently Finished
Steel Crow Saga by Paul Krueger

Honestly, I mainly decided to do this meme so I’d have an excuse to talk about this book. It’s an Asian-inspired fantasy with a magic system that’s Pokémon-meets-Avatar: The Last Airbender. It also has a F/F romance, a lesbian protagonist, two bisexual protagonists, and a prominent side trans character. I love it to bits.

Reading Next
Master of Sorrows by Justin Call

This is another eBook I got a review copy of from Netgalley, but it’s not an ARC. Apparently this book came out last year. But it follows the story of a young wizard becoming a dark lord, so it’s right up my alley! I can’t guarantee I’ll read this next, but it’s likely.

What have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments!
