Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Billy of Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Reader that runs from Friday to Thursday in which bloggers answer a book-related prompt. It’s a great way to provide some insight into yourself and introduce yourself to some great new blogs.
What book/series would you like to see adapted as a Netflix series?
I would love to see a Netflix adaptation of Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia.
A few years ago, I was super into the show From Dusk Til Dawn. Both that show and this book use Mayan mythology, giving them similar vibes.
Gods of Jade and Shadow has the major plus of actually showing Xibalba, the Mayan underworld. It would be so cool to see that come to life on screen. People would also go crazy over shipping Casiopea and Hun-Kamé.
This would be a show that would bring in lovers of fantasy, lovers of history, and lovers of diverse programming. There’s also a lot of wiggle room to create new stories once they finish the events of the book.
