Happy Saturday, everyone! I thought I’d take today to talk about some changes to my blog and future projects I’ve teased. This won’t be my most exciting post, but hopefully it’ll answer some questions and give you a good idea of the direction I’m taking my blog.
Discontinued Memes
If you’ve ever browsed my blog, you might have noticed a new menu item under the “Recurring Memes” tab called “Dead Memes.” It basically encompasses all the memes I used to do that I’ve decided to discontinue. These memes include Top 10 Tuesday, Flashback Friday, and In Retrospect.
I’ve decided to quit doing these memes because it had been quite a while since I’d updated any of them. In order to take pressure off myself and declutter, I’ve simply discontinued them. You can still find the ones I’ve done for them under Dead Memes.
The Vampire Diaries Reread
For months, I’ve been teasing a reread and discussion of the first three books in this series. I had originally planned on doing it in December and then… didn’t. And I still don’t have a date for when I plan on actually getting this done.
I’ve been wanting to do this because I was in love with this series about ten years ago and I want to see how well it holds up and how my opinions have changed. The problem is I have so many books on my TBR that I haven’t read yet it’s a little hard to commit to a reread.
However, I still fully intend on doing this. Hopefully I’ll be able to get it done this year, perhaps during the summer. I know, I’m a really bad blogger for this. But I’m trying my best.
My Blogiversary
My two-year blogiversary is tomorrow! Even though I don’t usually post on Sundays, I have a special post planned for April 14th. What’s it about? I’ll give you a hint: it’s pretty controversial.
I’ve also been considering doing a giveaway of some kind in honor of how far this blog has come. Obviously I won’t be starting it tomorrow, but I wanted to put out some feelers. I ran a poll on Twitter that said people would be interested in a giveaway, but I want to check with my blog audience too. It is for you guys, after all. I’d probably have quit a long time ago if it weren’t for you and your support.
So please, let me know if you’d be interested in a giveaway. Then I’ll figure out the logistics of running said giveaway. Again, I thank you for all your love and support.
